John S. Wilkie....

John was born October 3rd, 1969 at teatime in Southampton, England. He had a hammer in his hand by age four and by eight years old was helping his uncle Al build a deck at his home on the West side of Chicago. During John's senior year of high school in Wadsworth, Ohio, he began his life-long self-education process in the art of fine furniture restoration. John studied restored furnishings in medieval castles and cathedrals of England, how-to books, and television programs including The Furniture Guys, The Woodwright's Shop, and of course hands-on experience working with local refinishing businesses.

In 2003, after ten years of service honing his craft at Revere Refinishing, John was in a position to make the company his own. Loyal customers followed John's vision and Revere Refinishing's 25-year expert reputation for furniture restoration at its finest.
